Kakobuy T-shirts: the one shelf where the row price is the price

T-shirts are the cheapest clothing shelf in this index and the only one where the median row is a real garment at a real price rather than a style piece or a mis-filed keychain. They are also the lightest thing you can put in a parcel, which changes the arithmetic more than the row price does.

48 rows, median $24.76, half between $18.92 and $31.40, 13 rows under $20. At 0.25 kg a T-shirt never leaves the first-kilo band, so freight is a flat $12.50 and the median row lands near $47.28 in the EU — the smallest freight share of any shelf here.

Six rows across the price range

One row from each sixth of the shelf, cheapest first — a sample of the spread, not a shortlist. Every tile links to the product page, where the live price and the size grid live.

A tight band means price is not the decision

The middle half of this shelf spans only $12.48 — from $18.92 to $31.40. When the spread is that narrow, the row price stops being useful as a filter: paying double buys a different garment, not a better one. The useful columns are the brand and the print: 23 of 48 rows are branded, and the rest are blank tees with a graphic on them.

The cheapest row is a jersey, not a T-shirt

Bottom of the shelf is $14.58 for a "Golden State Warriors Jersey". Basketball jerseys sort into this category because they share a shape with a tee, and they are priced like fan merchandise. The top of the shelf is $55.70 for a "Design Shirt" — the same word covering a fan jersey at the bottom and an unbranded shirt at the top.

Print is the thing the photo will not show you

A $25 tee from a catalogue like this is screen-printed or transfer-printed, and the difference shows up after two washes, not in the listing photo. What the QC set does show is the print registration, the neck ribbing and whether the shoulder seams line up — the three places a cheap tee fails. Read them before you accept, because "the print cracked" is not a defect a warehouse will accept after the parcel leaves.

Bundling is the entire strategy here

Five median tees weigh 1.25 kg and ship for $16.70 — against $62.50 as five parcels. The goods cost the same $123.80; the $12.50 first-kilo charge is simply paid once. Landed per tee falls from $47.28 to $34.44.

From row price to landed price

One item per parcel, economy line, assumed 0.25 kg, 21% modelled VAT for the EU. Germany charges 19%, Poland 23%. Freight is the planning default from the shipping page, not a live quote.

Questions about this shelf

What does a typical T-shirt row cost on Kakobuy?

The median is $24.76 and half the shelf sits between $18.92 and $31.40. 13 of 48 rows are under $20, which makes this the cheapest clothing shelf in the index.

Is it worth ordering one T-shirt on its own?

No. Freight is $12.50 flat plus $2.20 handling, so a single $24.76 tee lands around $47.28. Five in one parcel land at about $34.44 each.

What should the QC photos show on a T-shirt?

Print registration against the edge of the graphic, neck ribbing that has not stretched, and shoulder seams that line up at the sleeve. Those three are where a cheap tee fails first, and all three are visible in a flat-lay photo.
